Hello and welcome!
My name is Nadia Ibanez and I’ve been writing content since 2006. I’m seeking new creative writing and storytelling opportunities. I have 12+ years of experience in content writing and copy editing in the forms of long-form feature writing, UI/consumer- facing messaging, blogging, content strategy, search engine optimization, and so much more.
As a San Diego native, I started my career in 2006 after graduating from San Diego State University and spent my first years working as an Editorial Assistant and freelance lifestyle writer for a number of local print publications. As the recession hit and print magazines closed, I pivoted to web writing and dove into online marketing copy writing with an emphasis in SEO/SEM.
I eventually made my way back to writing feature stories in the form of B2B magazines and a variety of trade publications. I worked with clients like DMV.org, Charlotte Russe, United Way of San Diego, and small business owners in San Diego. As I refined my writing skills and voice, I worked for Intuit Turbo Tax during their brand redesign in 2014 and JPMorgan Chase to support their Executive Connect program.
Most recently, I’ve honed in on my UI/UX creative content writing skills with the Digital Solutions for Business group at Wells Fargo. Since January 2015, I’ve written technical guides for our customers and customer-facing, in-app content for several of our commercial banking applications.
Since early 2017, I’ve acted as a Content Lead on a major project that is re-imagining the lending experience for our small business customers. We completed our first round of foundational design sprints and took customers into pilot in December 2018.
While my time at Wells Fargo has been informative and eye-opening, I’m seeking a new role with a focus on compelling content writing and storytelling over a variety of mediums. I’m constantly working on ways to be more strategic with business and product partners so that I can allow my words and my user- centered design thinking to dazzle customers.
I want to thank you again for reviewing my application and previous work. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
